Can I have a middle name deleted form my sons birth cert?

Please note that I am in the UK so only UK laws apply here.
I had given my son his Grandfathers name as a middle name but since my son was 2 months old my Father has made mines and my sons life hell. I no longer speak to him or class him as my Father and was wondering of there is any way to get the name removed from my sons birth certificate?

Answer:
You can't remove it from the birth certificate, but you can legally change his name so that it isn't used.
Call your local Hall of Records for name change information.
yea there is, just get white out or an eraser...no i am kidding, u have to go to court but it cost you to take it off, it falls in the same category as changing ur name.
Well in the USA you have to have both parents there to change any part of the name.
yes you can change your name, but you have to pay for it
YOU CAN'T CHANGE ANY DETAILS ON A BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

sorry about caps, left the lock on.
I am from the US, however I would think you should be able to for the 1st year (as it it here) you need to call the place that files the birth certificates or you can call the hospital where he was born & ask to talk to some one in birth records dept. They will know the answer for sure, Good Luck
no
