Has anybody taken domperidone?
I'm hoping to get on domperidone soon (for gastroparesis), and I was just curious to hear what it's like. I'll have to petition for compassionate use from Canada, because it's not approved for the US and that kind of makes me nervous. So! Any input would be great.
What were the side effects like? Does anyone know how the side effects compare to Reglan?

hi there yes funny you should ask that i am on it now as we speak(motillium) for failure to produce enough breast milk for my very hungry baby.
i have been taking 3 or 4 tablets a day for 8 weeks now trying to wean off them now.
now let me tell you dont take them if you dont have to they cause cronic cramping in my stomach like bad period pains its awful my doctor yesterday has advised me to go off them because the cons far out weigh the pros sure it helps my milk supply but i hate feeling like this why just right now i have terrible cramping uuuugggg.
also i have had no sex drive since taking them which my doctor says is a normal symptom i havent had a period since being on them and my periods were back to normal and regular.
another thing if i miss a dose at a particular time i start to feel sick but hey i hope i am not scaring you if you need em you need em ay i am in australia and you can get them easy here just with a script from your doctor i hope ive helped you if you need any other advice feel free to email me on mandymoo1983@yahoo.com.au goodluck
ps one last thing my doctor just tells me yesterday you can have fertility issues if used for a long length of time great hey.
