Name ideas used to sound absurd, but now I don't know. What do you think?

I liked Savannah as a girl's name, my husband didn't because GM makes a van w/ the same name. So when i asked him suggestions for a boy, he said Chevy as a joke. We've been calling the baby Chevy since then. Now it sounds normal. We would like to go w/ a name that has good initials like my son's name is Jayden he could go by J.T. And a good shortform like he could be Jay or J. Hubby suggested J.D. (alcoholic?lol) but I said no right away because of two J-babies. Now I'm not sure. We're for sure on the name if it's a girl, but if it's a boy I need help. If you could suggest

-good initial combinations that people actually use, e.g. D.J., A.J. etc.

-Names to go w/ initial combinations (including J.D.)
And tell me what you think of Chevy and J.D. (also considering that we already have a Jayden.)

Answer:
first off i wouldn't use the j.d because if you can call ur eldest j.t then when theyre older and one is in trouble and you yell out the sound of jt and jd are similar!
chevy sound nice i think...combine it with a modern sounding name like Chevy Jay CJ or Chevy Tylor CT.
no not chevy it sounds lame, i wouldnt do JD just cause you already have a J name, even thou lots of peolpe do that with all there kids (same initals) I like the name David for a boy, it could be David James (DJ)
C.J (CHARLES JAMES)
OR YOU COULD MAKE THAT CHEVY JAMES IF YOU LIKE IT GO WITH IT...THAT'S GREAT.WE NAMED OUR DAUGHTER BROOKLYN DAKOTA..WE LIKE IT ITS NOT WHAT OTHER PEOPLE LIKE...GOOD LUCK!!!

Have one traditional name and one "modern" name. That way, if the "modern" name ever falls out of fashion, your child has a traditional name to fall back on.

Just a thought. Never been a parent myself.
