My Korean colleague is called Keiko, it comes from Kyongbok. I think both names are nice.
But I wouldn't use them. They're too rare.
If I had to choose one I would choose Keiko.
when i hear the name keiko, i think of the whale from free willy. that was his name i real life. i love original names i prefer kana. my grlls names are chynna and morgan

Kana is very nice, Keiko is also, but there is definitely a chance for teasing with the killer whale. However, once your child is old enough to go to school, the stigma of sharing a name with the free willy whale should have faded, the movies came out over 10 years ago. You don't mention your last name, try saying both names together out loud, make sure it has no negative or humorous homonyms. Such as a last name of Usimee.
I like Keiko cause the name is unique and its not very common.
"Keiko" will result in whale references, so please don't choose that. "Kana" sounds like a girl's name, and it sounds very beautiful and would be a nice choice for a girl. Please don't use it for a boy, however. Perhaps "Kano" for a boy?
