Does being a boy or a girl have anything to do with which parent you look more like?

Kind of random and stupid.. I was just wondering.

Answer:
No, your question isn't stupid. Now when your parents conceive a baby, all of their genetic material is placed in the baby, from both parents. However, in different pregnancies after, different genetic material can be in the sperm and the egg. After all there are so many parts to a DNA structure, you should look at it up close, it has tons of genetic material in small boxes.

Anyways, so each time there is a pregancy there is no guarantee that it will be a boy or girl, and what will it look like. And when the baby is born, it will not look like that when it is grown up.

So it could happen that a daughter is born that looks like Dad, and teh next daughter born looks like Mom, and maybe the 3rd child may not look like either one of the parents, bu tmay look like one of the grandmothers or grandfathers. See, genetics, is a family thing, not just living family, but the family that already died, since they passed on their genetic material to the next generation.

One thing happened that blew 2 parents away, in surprise, I am not kidding: The husband and wife were both white, and yet their baby had dark brown skin!! Neither mother or father knew how that happened. But when they searched in their family tree on both sides it was discovered that there was someone with dark skin, in the family's genetic code. Bizarre eh?

Anyways baby can look like both parents as well.
it matters on the sperm it has nothing to dow ith anything else
No. What about the kids that look like other family members besides their parents? It sounds like another old wives tale.
I'm a girl and both my brother and I look like our dad. No.
I'm not sure. My son looks more like me and my daughter has my husband's light brown hair and blue eyes.
No not necessarilly. People say I look more like my dad and I'm a girl. It doesn't mean I look manly either!
No. My son looks just like my husband (except when he is throwing a fit, then he looks like me...go figure :-P) But my cousin looks just like her father.
None at all. My son just like my husband, but my sister-in-law looks just like her dad.
Psychologically yes. Males are usually like their mothers while females usually like their fathers more. However, most everyone is more strongly connected to their mother because they see their mother first and come on your mom carries you for nine months in her stomach.
I am a clone of my mother and my sister is a clone of my father (not literally). My husband looks alot like his mother as well. I don't think it has to do with sex, just whatever genes you wind up with.
