Can u have your menstrual cycle and be pregnant?

Answer:
Many women have some degree of spotting/bleeding when pregnant, particularly at implantation which is about the time she would have her first "missed" period.

My mom had a friend who had bleeding, regularly every month she was pregnant, even though both she and her doctor knew she was pregnant, and she went on to deliver a healthy infant, at term.
nope
I have met 5 women who said that they never knew they were pregnant for months because they still had a period. I dont see how the baby was not lost but they say they did.
When you are pregant, you are supossed to have a plug of mucus that seals in the amino fliud. I dont see how it would be possible to bleed at all and not misscarry
YEA my sister did when she was pregnant!!
Yes, you can some woman don't know there pregnant until 4-6 months before they figure it out.
you can have your period for only the first month. that's what i'm scared of because i just my period but i got signs.
Yep.
My mom was a nurse and this large woman came into her ER complaining of stomach/abdominal cramps.
She left the hospital with a bouncing baby even though she had no idea she was pregnant.
Yes, absolutely! It is normal for a lot of women to have a period for the first 2 maybe 3 months. Take a pregnancy test, if you have the hcg hormone than you are pregnant and even with your period it will still show up.
that is a question u should be asking your gp
Absolutely. By definition it is not a normal "period" as menstruation is the shedding of the lining of your uterus, and if you did this during pregnancy, the baby would not survive.

While not common, many women do have bleeding during the time of their regular cycle throughout their period. I could not find the details I'd read before, but I seem to recall it has to do with various hormone levels.

If you suspect that you're pregnant, but feel like you started your period, take a pregnancy test. It is quite likely you are pregnant then. Especially if the cycle seemed lighter or shorter than usual. My fourth pregnancy I didn't realize I was pregnant right away, because I had a short period. It occurred to me a week later that it wasn't how it should have been.

If you experience severe bleeding and know you're pregnant, seek medical help as soon as possible. This could be something as simple as implantation bleeding (had that with my last 3 full-term pregnancies) or as severe as a pending miscarriage. Only a doctor can really tell you for certain.

Good luck figuring out what's going on! Pregnancy is a very interesting and confusing event in your life.
I know someone who bled through both of her pregnancy's and the babies were still fine...
