Yes it does really work. My last pregnancy I had a set of twin boys.
honey you can only go on clomid if your doctor prescribes it. have you tried measuring your body temp each morning as your doctor will get you to do this before he gives you that, that way you can see if your ovulating. when on clomid it will make you ovulate and then the period will follow or pregnancy will. its not guarenteed to be regular tho.

clomid does not guarantee that you will ovulate
after I did lupron I became irregular 1month 31days and another 24
what I did was start having sex 2 days after my period and did not stress over whether or not I ovulate
I am preg now 5 weeks
