For mothers! I need some good breastfeeding tips.?

What should be best and comfortable position? As my son a week old, but I still have problems in feeding him.

Answer:
The position that worked best for me was supporting my right breast with my right hand and holding the baby to me in my left arm. Baby's legs were kind of tucked under my left arm and I used my left hand to help support her head. A lactation consultant helped me find this position after the football hold wasn't working. In some cases a visit to a lactation consultant is covered by insurance. The position might not be the problem, it could be a weak suck, poor latch, etc. Seeing a professional is the easiest way to correct problems.

Also, I highly recommend the book "So That's What They're For: definitive guide to breastfeeding." It has the answers to EVERYTHING!
here is a web site the should help with any questions that come up.

i found sitting in the upright position with the assistance of a breast feeding pillow the best.it enabled my hands to be free.you can find these pillows at any good baby store...
Try simply cradling him with a big pillow under your arm for his and your support and see if that helps at all. P.S. You're not alone. I had the HARDEST time trying to get my son to breast feed.
sit down straight put his head on ur elbowand tilt him little towards you. let a big part of the breast enter his mouth and he'll soon latch on!
You could try the football hold...where baby's head is in your hand and body supported by arm directly under which breast your feeding from. Or, have baby lying on bed... you resting sideways ...as baby feeds. And of course the regular way that most women choose. A pillow (or Snuggli) is always helpful in breastfeeding.
Hi
The early daze with a new baby can be really confusing can't they? I found this website really useful. It describes how your baby can attach himself. (many mothers find that this is their very first pain-free feed!) If you click on contacts you will find the numbers for the breastfeeding helpline in your state: http://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/bfinfo/b...
Hope this improves things for you
