No line on my belly?

I am 7 months pregnant with baby number six, and I have never developed this either. It has to do with your hormone levels and the pigment of your skin, not your weight. The line is called the linea negra. I did however, develop a very small amount of melasma on my cheek. This simply means a dark brown spot...due to same pigment and hormone. If this happens to you in a conspicuous area, such as your face, stay out of the sun or use sunscreen. Also, this will fade and for me became totally gone about two months after each baby was born...good luck with your pregnancy too!

Ive got a few friends that never got the line I guess its just everyone is different and we all have different skin types. Dont think the wieght issue has anything to do with it so dont worry about it good luck with the baby ;)
ive been pregnant 3 times i never got the dark line. but i did get stretch marks
I have had 1 child and am about to have another one any day now. I am tall and skinny. I have never had that dark line and many many many women with different body shapes don't get it either. In fact there is a better chance that you may never even get it! I've only seen it on 1 person and she was having twins. Don't sweat it. Ask your doc for more info about it if ya still want a deeper explination about that line. Good Luck!!

I didn't get the line (linea negra) with either of my 2 pregnancies. Not everyone gets it, and some who get it have a dark line while some have a light line. I've always wondered if I didn't get one because I was fair-skinned because I know it is a buildup of pigment.
I never got that when I was pregnant...I heard it was just darker women that gets it.
I never got one either.
