You are too far along.
That was when i was 28 weeks , I am now 40 weeks , and am very frustrated that I continue to get run around , I am worried about my baby because Today is my due date.
I never stopped trying to find a doctor. I just keep getting refused. What should I do ?
Just going to the ER I Have been sent home for not being "Far enough along in labor" , with suggestions to get a doctor..but no doctor , even those reffering me , or i have been reffered to will take me because i to far along.
Answer:
Call the number on your card and talk to them they should know were you can go but unfortanly with how far along you are it may be too late for care before the baby comes. IF you were here in Austin Texas I could tell you extactly were you could go they would take you in a heart beat.
oh wow ... I would just stay at hospital and give birth in foyer if I had to
have u tired a free clinic? because i know they will take any one. or u can try the welfare office and explain to them.i cannot belive that even a county hospitol would not help u. because they can get sued for not helping u.
Move to Canada.. the American Health system is insane.. free health care rocks!
Mam, First of all Congratulations on being pregnant. Secondly, if you live in Michigan, which Im assuming you do, because of Medicaid? Not sure though, but if you do. Go to a state owned hospital, not a private one, such as McLaren, Genessis, etc. Go to Hurley Hospital in Flint. This is not a private hospital, its state owned, and is very great. They accept all types of insurance, and can not deny anyone treatment, because, they're a state hospital. So, go there. Go to ER, if you have too. But if not, go to the front desk, tell them situation, they should help you, if anything, they can direct you on where to go, and have a staff member help you. Be Safe, Take Care, and remember to always trust your instincts.
That's awful! About the only thing you can do now is to wait until you go into labor and go to the hospital. I don't know what state you are in, but you should write to your state representative, governor, media or someone! Good luck! I wish you the very best!
I'm so sorry. I can completely understand how frustrating that is but on the other hand think about if you were a doctor...they would be held responsable for anything and everything that could go wrong and 30 weeks is very far along to just accept a patient. I know it's too late now, but did you ever try planned parenthood, or any other women's clinics? Fortunately when it is time for baby to come, the hospital won't turn you away. The on call doctor will take you. It is a pain in the butt, and again I'm sorry this happened to you. Good luck with everything!
I'm truly sorry for your situation; try to relax (I know it's hard!) and think that when you go into labor, you'll go to the hospital (they have to tend to you and your baby) and you're at the end of your pregnancy, so in a few weeks or days, you'll be holding your baby. It's the best thing you can do now; the stress isn't good for you or the baby. God bless you both!
CHeck with the county health dept. Then go to newspapers if nobody will help...
try to go to a church or community clinic... hopefully they can help you out. or go to plannedparenthood.com and find the closest location to you and they can definately help you... good luck sweetie!!!
thats cazy what state do u live in
Since you are going to be in labor soon you dont need to worry about finding a Dr. the on call Dr will help you in the hospital. When you are further along in labor or your water breaks just go into the hospital and they will admit you. They will also ask you if you had prenatal care, many of them will probably not be too nice when you answer them that you did not. I also wonder if there was not a Planned Parenthood in your area? They will normally take anyone. Best of luck to you.
Ok, help me figure something out, in another question you said that you had had your ultrasound back in July and your baby measured at 17 weeks SO someone told you that your due date would be around Nov 13 today. So why didn't you ask the technician who did the ultrasound about it? why didn't you do the follow up appointment at that last visit? who covered your ultrasound. If you ask me, you are full of it! and you have just been waiting for this last moment. You have really not cared for that baby if you did you would have been going to your appointments back when you had that ultrasound at 17 weeks, and plus that due date is from someone who told you on FeelBaby.com!! it wasn't even a doctor! so sorry i can't help!
At this point you are almost due, I wouldn't bother looking for a doctor. I suggest you go to your local health clinic and contact your medicaid office. You know it's time to go to the hospital when you can not walk or talk through a contraction or they are consistant for an hour or moreand five minutes apart or less. Or if your water breaks.
You can go to a free clinic or even the local health dep. and get help. Plus you should have a 1 800 # or a 1 888 # you can call that comes with your card and get a list of doctors that take the card. Or you can pick up a phone and the phone book and start calling doctors, clinic's, & midwifes, and ask them if they take your card - let them know you have been trying and can't find anyone and you really need to be seen... If you are in labor just go to the ER, the ER can't tell you to go somewhere else if your in labor...hope that helps and good luck - I know what your going thru cause my son was born at home 3 mos early and it took me two weeks to find him a doctor cause most of the doctors I called and talked to said they would not take him cause he was born at home - it was not planned to be a home birth either...
Your baby will be fine but my suggestion is that after he or she is born to publicize your case try to find a young lawyer and sue the h*ll out of the hospitals then take you and your child and move.Try calling le leche league of America they are a breastfeeding group but some have knowledge of home births.
You are a good mommy!! I would be killing someone if no help!!
okay see heres the thing in your history you asked when your due date was and said you dug out your ultrasound when you were 17 weeks to calculate your due date...but in this question you just said you didn't know you were pregnant until you were almost 29 weeks and that no doctor would except you if no doctor would except you how did you have an ultrasound at 17 weeks I knew this was a not a real question because it's against the law for the hospital or clinic to not provide you with prenatal care even if you had no insurance they still have to see you they can always bill you for it they cant all just turn you away and expect you to have your baby at home!! plus it doesn't matter how far along you are they cant deny you for that!
Go to the health department
MEDICADE SHOULD GIVE YOU A LIST OF DOCTORS' OFFICES THAT DO ACCEPT IT.
If you go to the hospital in labor then the on-call doctor will deliver your baby. They will give you the same care they would give anyone. They have to do it by law. At this point there is probably not a lot of point in seeking prenatal care or finding a doctor unless you go over 42 weeks in which case you will have to find someone to induce you. Have you talked to your medicaid caseworker? That person should also be very willing to help.
Id go to one of the regional hospitals like Sparks...they have to take you there...no matter what...congratulations on your baby! and goodluck! If i was you id go to the er and say you were in labor even if your not and get some cute pics of your baby before you have him or her!!
