Can we qualify for medicaid for my pregnancy?
Answer:
I think it depends on which state you are in. In my state a family of four can get on it ( only the children and the pregnancies) if you make less than 36,000 dollars a year. YOU SHOULD NOT FEEL ASHAMED!! Its the people that use and abuse the system that should feel ashamed. Everybody needs a hand out once in a while. You and your husband sound hardworking, and you are doing something to better yourself by going to college. I wish you the best of luck.
I doubt it very much! My hubby makes 250.00 a week and that supports a family of 4 and we don't qualify.
Hello. I'm a Social Worker and sometimes double as a case manager for the state of New Mexico. I cannot speak for other states, but I know that under New Mexico Medicaid and WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) any woman who is pregnant qualifies for medicaid, no matter their income or employment status. I also know that in Texas, the woman does NOT qualify for medicaid (only the child). It depends on your state laws and regulations.
I know dealing with gov't funded agencies and monies can be stressful (as if pregnancy isn't stressful itself!) but the worst they can do is tell you no. It's worth a shot. Good luck! =)
Im sorry to say i think you are over the income guidelines but apply anyway cause there are other programs available here it is called adult basic discounted price maybe thirty a month but would cover all medical bills if you do not have that in your area cotact local hospital some of them have clinics good luck and congrats!
Nope.
I think you could. I say apply for it. The worst that could happen is they tell you that you don't qualify.
