Women had the right to choose to place them selves in the situation of becoming pregnant. They had the choice to use contraception - this is where their choice was. (with the exception of rape).
The child is a creation of God, for whatever reason God has chosen this child to be in this earth - the child has role to play.
It is a life created, living, moving and learning. Ever seen an ultrasound that fetus is learning every day and having fun!!
WE have no right to kill, just because we can't physically see the child does not mean we are not murdering it. It just makes it easier.
With rape it is much harder, although i still do not believe in abortion. For some reason this child has been created, under horrible and terrifying circumstances, it still has the right to live, either with the mother or with a new family.
sad because they have to give up a baby! or a life!

Personally, I believe that abortion should only be practiced if the woman's own life would be seriously endangered by giving birth.
A fetus is a human being which has it's own particular rights and is NOT a part of a woman's body. It is an individual, which has a right to be given a chance to live. It is not a matter of choice. Choice ended when the embryo was conceived. After conception, it became a living human being.
im pro choice. if a woman wants to have an abortion, its her choice. theres no sense in bringing a child into this world, just to make it grow up in some kind of horrible life.

Abortion too many times (not always though) is used as a form of birth control and that is not right. In my opinion the fetus is a baby, the entire pregnancy. Not just at birth. It has feeling, a heartbeat, and may be tiny but even looks like a baby. Those are my reasons.
I'm a Catholic. I would not encourage anyone to use abortion as a method of birth control. If you want to have sex make sure that you use protection.

Well, I once saw a documentary on abortion.
The foetus was around 20 weeks and too large/dangerous to be removed from the uterus. The surgeon inserted a pincer, at which point, the foetus started quivering. The pincer grabbed the head and the surgeon inserted a blade right beside the foetus.
Slice!...slice slice...the foetus was in pieces, the woman was bleeding and crying of course. Slow, the surgeon took out the pieces one by one, then another pincer was inserted. This time, to remove a piece of flesh loged at some crevice in the womb. This was forcibly plucked out.
Next came the washing with some kind of liquid.
Well, now to your question. Do I support abortion? HECK NO!
Is very very cruel. People should be responsible for their own actions and not kill a foetus instead.
Sure, the foetus belongs to the host/mother and these women have a right to decide for themselves. But what about the foetus? So, the mother has a right, but does not the foetus also have a right?
it's wrong cause in my case you are killing a baby that could go to someone that cant have kids. my mom has showed me photos of it and it's nasty and just mean. i would never do that.

I feel that abortion is a woman's choice. No one else should have a say in whether or not you want to get one. Not even the government or religion. It is not murder. The fetus is not developed and it is not even considered a human yet.
That's my opinion. Conservative people who think it's murder make me so angry but I respect their opinions and leave it at that.
I feel that what someone else does with their own body is none of my business. If someone had cancer and decided to have surgery it would not be a big deal. But if someone has an unwanted pregnancy and has surgery it is a big deal. Neither one is anyone else' business. It is not decision to make if someone is ready for a baby.

For example what if this abortion was destined to be a great musician, the world would have never known him or her.They would have missed out on a great individual. I am against abortion. too often it is used not for serious medical reasons, but as a form of birth control. Each child should have the chance to live. If someone doesn't want to get pregnant, there are lots of ways to avoid that. I know a lot of people say its a womans body and she should choose, but its not just the womans body, it is the childs body also. People also say, it's not really alive or a person until its born, but think about if your own mother felt that way when she was pregnant with you. Besides, if someone decides they really don't want a child, there are a lot of people who would be more than happy to adopt the baby. This is an issue that will be debated forever, and I don't think it will ever be resolved in a way that is acceptable to both sides.

I think its wrong. People who really want babies try all their lives and may never get pregnant. Others who are only like 13 - 16 etc decide to have sex but don't realise what they are getting into until they get pregnant. Then they abort it.
In certain circumstances like if you were raped and got pregnant aborting would be ok. But if you are perfectly healthy and you know you could at least try to take care of the baby i think aborting is wrong.

It always surprises me that I see the same group of people who scream murder when it comes to abortion could care less if 1 in 11 families skip meals to pay the bills. It is in the face of starvation that people suddenly remember that the world is harsh and stop caring. For some reason abortion is singled out as the one problem that should be fixed while ignoring all of the others.
All of the problems we have in society come from that we care more about money than we do family. Abortion is simply one aspect of those problems.
Also you have to remember that abortion is wanted by some women. Doctors that perform abortions didn't create the demand. Making abortions illegal to be performed by doctors makes about as much sense as covering a leaky water pipe with a cloth blanket because you want to stop the leak. I think abortion should be aloud as an option if a women is raped. Having a child under those circumstances could just make things bad for both the soon to be mother and the child. Even though there are couples all over this great nation (U.S.A.) lined up to receive a child into their home through adoption. Many of whom are simply resorting to these measure because they either are unable to have kids of their own or they simply feel the need to adopt. Many of these couples are loving individuals whom would have nothing better to offer a child other then their love, protection, and all that good stiff.
The second situation and the one I will stand by firmly is having abortion as an option for when a pregnancy goes wrong and it is either the mother or baby coming out of the whole event alive.

I think there is an element of responsibility that our society has taken away from "doing the nasty". I mean, if you know what is going to happen if you take a certain action. And there is protection offered on the market and you are not willing to take it. don't you think you should think before you take action. Even with protection, nothing is guaranteed. Don't give me this throw of passion junk either. I've heard it a million times. Either be responsible with your actions or don't do it. There is a concept. How about sustaining. That would stop the spread of not only teen pregnancies but STDs as well. But maybe that is being too responsible.
Anyways. I always have believed in life. And so far doctors are discovering more and more how alive babies truly are before they enter this world.

I am for it. There are a lot of people that believe it is cruel or murder. I want to ask these people if they are prepared to take care of the child that would have been aborted? Or do you think it is better that unfit people have children and then torture and kill them? Or is it right for a woman that has been raped to keep the child of her attacker? Is it fair to a child to be born to a parent that is unwilling or unable to care for them? I think that it would be best for people to do better planning but life is not that easy all the time. Plus if you believe that abortion is wrong then you should also think that birth control is wrong as well for each time you stop a child from being born from a sexual encounter you are killing the chance of there being a life. I don't believe that women go and have abortions for fun I think it takes a lot of thought and tears to carry out something like that. I myself have 3 boys and it is not easy to raise them in this world but I think it would have been that much harder to bare if I didn't want them in the first place. Honestly there are way too many folks that have kids and shouldn't. It's not that the child doesn't have a right to live but no child should be brought into a family that doesn't want them. I believe it far better to end a life before it has entered the world then it is to force it to endure the taking of it's life physically or mentally after he/she has been born.
I say give women the choice to do what they think is right. Ultimately they have to live with the decision. I think some people get pregnant in bad situations (too many to name) and opt to go the abortion route since they feel it is the better route for their own personal reasons. How can you tell someone they are right or wrong? It is too personal and people are so black and white on this issue. Give women the choice - that is what freedom is all about.
If you're a christian, your answer should always be a NO. Irregardless of the cause of the pregnancy.
Because if you believe that God is in control of your life or otherwise, you need to be aware that God is watching YOU. Whether you led yourself to it (temptation), or you were raped. The fact remains that you are in that state because you were either brought to that state or you brought yourself to that state.
As a christian, everything should be left to God. If the baby is not to be born, you can be sure the baby will not make it past delivery.
For those who think it is their right to abort the kid after consciously conceiving them, try to think it this way. After you die, and the aborted foetus asks you "why did you abort me", what will be your answer? Because you don't belong? Because I don't need you? Because I have the right?
