Answer:
I have a 10 1/2 mo. old and I have lost all my pregnancy weight but I know your body (or for the majority of us) never looks the same again. Even though I have lost the weight, I am still in bigger jeans than I was before I got pregnant. It took me a while to lose the weight though. Your baby is only 4 months old, give it time. Think about this.it took you 9 months to gain the weight, give yourself that much time or around a year to lose the weight. Just try to eat healthy (Fresh fruits and veggies, water, juice, etc.) and try to exercise as much as possible. Try going for a walk with the baby in the stroller or join Curves (they are a women's only weight loss and fitness club). When you get the urge to eat, grab a healthy snack. And don't forget to drink plenty of water! If you are not staying hydrated, you will feel hungry and want to eat. And another thing, you need 5 small meals a day a couple snacks. They need to be healthy meals though. Try to steer clear of fast food and sodas, they will pile the pounds on you. Don't skip breakfast either. Breakfast is where you get your energy for the day. If you try to starve yourself, your body will start storing the fat and you will not lose the weight or if you start losing weight, you will end up gaining it back and then some! Because your body will eventually end up getting hungry again and you will want to eat even more. About the stretch marks, they will never go away, they will just lighten up. Just exercise and try to stay fit and healthy and it should help tone up and make you feel better about yourself. You can try using Pure Vitamin E Oil to massage where your stretch marks are, that really helped me. They also have stretch mark/scar creams out nowadays to help lighten up the scars and stretch marks. I haven't used them though, so I don't know how well they work. Just give it time, you will lose the weight. In a few months, you will be chasing your little one all over the place and he/she will make you stay active! haha Hope this helped! Good luck! Congrats on the little one!
I'm guilty of the love of food too. I find it easier to eat less portions more times a day. So it doesn't feel like you're starving yourself, and you're eating what you like, but you're spreading it out so you have time to burn off what you've ate. Also, for stretch marks try cocoa butter or lotion specifically containing cocoa butter.
sorry to break it to you, but stretch marks don't go away! but they will fade. you are still a new mom..don't worry about it..it took more than 4 months to get that weight..it's ok for it to take awhile to come off. they suggest 1-2lbs a week. i'd just try pushing baby in the stroller around the block, stretching, light aerobics...eat plenty of fresh veggies ,fiber, fruit..lean meat, lots of water..no soda!
I'm 5'4, 140 lbs (i just lost 10 lbs), and I have a 71/12 month old baby i lost weight walking, and for stretch marks they never go away completly, but ther are some creams you can get to lighten stretch marks, but i dunno if they work i haven't tried them. Goodluck :)
WEIGHT WATCHERS. when i had my son, i gained 70 lbs! he's 3 now, and i look and feel normal + they have some meetings where you can bring your kid.
DEAR USE COCOA BUTTER LOTION AND BABY OIL AND IF YOU ARE BREAST FEEDING THAT WILL HELP YOU LOOSE SOME OF THE WEIGHT YOU ARE CARING DEAR AND DUE IT UNTIL HE ARE SHE GETS TEETH AND STARTING BITING YOU REALLY HARD NURSE ABOUT 8 -9 MONTHS MY FRIEND DONE IT FOR 11 MONTHS BECAUSE HER BABY GIRL WAS SLOW GETTING HER TEETH IN EATING IS NOT THE PROBLEM SO SORRY DEAR BABY NEEDS NOURISHMENT TOO FROM YOU MOMMY
Unfortunately, stretch marks never go away completely. Cocoa butter and Vitamin E oil DO NOT WORK (believe me, I've used them). Stri-Vectin is the only thing that worked for me to reduce stretch marks and make them smoother. I have a gazillion of them! Stri-Vectin runs about $135 for 6 oz and generic brands are available in some health food stores for slightly less. You do have to continuously use this for several months.
As for losing weight while continuing to eat, do weight training for 45 minutes in the morning (or you can do pilates, yoga, or muscle targeting video like Denise Austin) and walk for one hour at night either outside or on a treadmill. If you are not used to exercise, make sure you start out slowly like 15 min weights and 20-30 min walking and gradually increase your workout time. I know that having a baby can decrease your time for this, so it is only necissary to do this 3-5 times a week. I promise you will see results. By the way, I never got down to my prepregnancy size, but sure looked good after doing this routine for 4 months!!
do you nurse. everyone always told me that when you do the weight drops off faster, but it was the total opposite with me. i gained 80 lbs with my son, and didn't lose any until i stopped nursing. then it just fell off. i also LOVE to eat. one of my favorite activites. the key is eating more good for you things and being active. when you do start losing the weight, keep in mind your body is not the same. i weigh exactly the same as i did before i had my son, but i dont wear the same size clothes. i wear 2 sizes bigger in jeans. (did a number on my hips)
