Unfortunately in the UK this is so, and even younger. 13, 12 and even 11 years old is not uncommon. Not only having sex, but becoming pregnant too.
The age of consent in the UK is 16, so sex with anyone under that age is illegal.
What a parent allows and what a kid actually does are two seperate things. I don't know any parent that wants their 15 year old pregnant. But kids make stupid choices. I was preggy at 17 (got preggy my first time). As upset as my parents were, they supported me. They had the good sense to never mention abortion and I'm now happily married to the father for almost 9 years and my daughter is almost 9 and has two younger siblings.
Don't judge a culture by what you read. Those aren't the only countries that have babies and sex young. Other cultures think female genitalia mutilation or arranged marriages are ok and normal. Each culture does things differently and even if you don't agree or think its shocking, its more accepted there.

It's not allowed bey that is how it happens. Some lose there virginity as early as 12 or 13.
in Australia it is legal to have sex as of age 16.
It's not exactly allowed at all but there is not much to stop it if that's what they have their mind set on it. Murder isnt allowed either but it happens.

The legal age of consent is 16 in Canada, but we know that they have sex before the age of 16, we hear people having kids at the age of 14 and 15 now days, so it wouldn't shock me if they are having sex beforehand. I don't belive it should be allowed but our society has caused our kids to be hyper sexed, think of our influences, movies, tv, music, etc... So its impossible to sheild our kids from these outside infulences unless you move and live in seculsion, so that would be difficult, so the nex.t thing we can do is teach them at a younger age about sex instead of later on in life when they have already experinced sex and made mistakes. If we teach them at a younger age they will make informed choices. Now if you are talking about sex between a minor and an adult, its illegal in Canada.
