What is a good Christmas gift for a new mother?

I don't want something for the baby because she will be getting lots of that stuff leading up to Christmas. I would like something for her to either make her feel good or to make her life easier. Any suggestions?

Answer:
A maid service, take-out gift certificates, movie rental gift certificates would all be good. Or you could even make her some frozen meals if you want to spend less money.

Not all new moms are going to want you to babysit the baby or going to want to leave the baby long enough to go get a facial or anything- I know I wouldn't have. I didn't let anybody babysit for a long time.
Time to herself.
I am geting my mom some chocolate and a candle.
A facial
Try a gift certificate to a hair salon to get pampered or a spa for a massage or even victorias secret, so she can feel sexy post baby
ear plugs.
give her a home made coupon for you to baby sit the baby, and go out and get her a gift certificate for the movies with her significant other, (alot of times couples don't get to have a much needed night out to them selves) Or you could get her a gift certificate to get a massage. Those are always nice! :)
gift certificate for free babysitting.
a friend did this for me and I loved it, they got me a card from the baby to me, and put a gift certificate, and coupons for their help in it. It was great
A nap! J/K Something nice and just for her, perfume, make-up and lotions are good. Also maybe a gift cert. to a nice restaurant and offer to babysit when she goes to said restaurant. If she changed clothing sizes due to the pregnancy, some new clothes or a gift cert. to her favorite clothing store would be nice also.
a break. Seriously, if you can give her a gift certificate for a massage that'd be great but if you can't babysit while she goes she'll never get to use it. Come to her house and help out in whatever ways you see need to be done. Clean the house, do some laundry, whatever. Watch the baby so she can take a nap. Give her a pedicure while she's nursing the baby. She's gotta sit still while feeding anyway. Hope she enjoys it.
a gift cert for a massage....
Something that would make her life easier --
After the births of my children I was delighted when people dropped off meals for my family for a few days.
Now that they have Dream Dinners or (my girlfriend's kitchen, Super Suppers, Dinner Studio, etc.) you can go and prepare her several meals ahead of time and then bring them to her freezer! Many of these places will prepare and drop off the meals to new moms at no extra charge! I'm pregnant with my third child and I'd love for someone to do this for me! Check out www.dreamdinners.com and you'll get the idea.

It is so hard to get everything done at the end of the day and a big help with dinner would probably help her out!
A gift certificate for a manicure, pedicure, massage or haircut AND a note saying you will babysit for free while she does it.
Spa gift certificate and an offer to babysit when she goes. Same could be done w/ movie gift certificates.
