My fiance and I sat down with a baby name website and books and made separate lists of names that we each liked. After we were finished we compared our lists and found that we had more names in common than we had originally thought. It's easier to see the kind of names you each like and if you can't agree on one together maybe you can settle with hers as a first name and yours as a middle name or vice versa.

We went through about a zillion names before we agreed on one. Get a baby name book and pick it apart until you find one you both like. Do you have traditions or you family, or do you want to name him after someone important to you?
I wanted to name our daughter after my mother, and my husband has a tradition in his family that all middle start with R. Hubby didn't really like calling her by my mother's name, so we compromised. She will be Jennifer Robin (so middle name starts with R) and go by Robin (so she is still a namesake).
I think that you should defer to your girlfriend. After all... she's the one who has to go through labour and delivery so she should get the pleasure of selecting the name.
You should keep looking until you find a name that you can both agree on. After all, it is your baby too.
