if you were supposed to start on the 31st of December, you should be far enough along to get an accurate result from a home pregnancy test. Take one, and see your doctor.
Do the quick touch thing on the commercials. They say it works.
A regular test will work, take it with the first urine in the morning though.

you should get a pregnancy test called first response it can Identivy the pregnancy hormone 5 days earlier then others but you should go to the doctor either way if your 8 days late and dont feel like its coming on it wouldnt hurt to get that checked out
If you just started to have your peiriod it a will be a little off scedual the same think happend to me.
You're definitely ready to test. If you are not pregnant, then you could be stressed out about getting pregnant, and that could be a cause of a late period as well (I know from experience). Go get a kit and good luck!
With most pregnancy tests, you can take them on the first day your missed your period. So, in other words, you could have taken it on January 1st. I would suggest that you take one now. You seem very concerned, so if the test is negative then call your doctor.
It's possible
sometimes your period switch on you it can come the beginning of the month then it can come in the middle or the end of the month. if it doesn't do that take a test.
If you are sexually active and/or stressed out then it delays your period for longer. With me i'm usually up to a week or so late each month. As i see it though your scared and there are some pregnancy test that are for 3 or 4 days before your missed period so i say just to be safe go buy one
