Which car seat would you recomend for 8mth old (stage 2 seat)?
Answer:
definetly a 'rider' its either spelt rider or ryder. they can be used from about 3 months up until the child is 4 as they have an inner section that can be removed when the child is bigger. the child sits in an upright position behind the passenger side of the car (i put him there then i can check on him in the mirror) the seat stays in the car so you dont have to keep attaching a seat every time you go somewhere. my child is so much happier with this seat then he was the stage 1. its a chunky seat that provides plenty of protection, it looks really comfy!! they sell them at halfords or i got mine off ebay brand new for £50. i dont know how much they are in shops. My local baby store recommended mine and they are brilliant, you wont look back!!xx

The best choice varies depending on your preferences, your child's size and your car. What I would do is go into a store that carries many options (like babies r us) and look at your choices. If you can choose one that has the most height adjustment so it will last longer. My daughter outgrew her convertible seat when she was 14 months old and 22 pounds because her torso was too long for the shoulder straps. I was able to exchange her seat through the manufacturer for one that that three different shoulder height adjustments to accommodate taller children/longer torsos. Then try it out in your car and make sure it fits properly (review or take a class to learn how car seats are suppose to fit into the car first). The seat that gives you the best options AND fits your car is the best choice. The seat that works best for me and my car may be a horrible choice for you and your car.
I just purchased the Britax Boulevard for my 8 month old. Just be sure it fits your vehicle and your baby. If not take it back and find one that does.
I have a Maxi Cosy Rodi, it is great, fits my car easily and can recline when baby falls asleep. Remember to make sure whatever you buy will fit ok in your car.
Have a look at Which magazine as they regularly review their safety features.
