My mom lied about my birth certificate?

My mom lied about the location of my B.c. so I couldn't get a license so she didn't have to claim me on her insurance. Now I have to pay a hefty amount for insurance, because I got it later on in life. What should I say to her or how do I get low cost insurance?

Answer:
Well, your mom didn't have to lie but that is beside the point now. See if there is a safe driver class that you can take. Usually that will help you save 10% on your insurance each year. Shop around for prices. Other than that, I believe you will just have to establish yourself as a safe driver before it drops.
Confront her and ask her why she lied.
There should be a copy of your BC in the government records in the county in which you were born. The county or even town courthouse should have them. They will probably charge a fee, but it will be less than your insurance.
Go back to where you were born , or contact that city hall. For a nominial fee , they will send you or give your your original birth cert. then , personally , I would confront her and find out why she would do that to you . You are gonna need your original b.c later on anyway , when the day comes that you get married , or need to replace your social sercuirty card. It is very possible that what your mom did is illegal, especially if your under the age of 18, according to the law , she has to kleep you on her insurance until you become and adult, unless you filed for anmistey. ( wanting to become an adult in the law while under 18 , in which you are responsible for all your own afiars.)
Irregardless of your bc, she wasn't required to let you drive or carry you on her policy. Just drive carefully and your amount will slowly do down. It drops at 26 or so as well.
To be fair, your insurance is high because you are a new driver. This would have been paid by your parents if she had let you get your license at a younger age. Now you are paying your dues and there isnt really anything you can do about it. It was your mother's decision, and while lying shouldnt have been necessary, you have to learn to live with the outcomes.
You should tell her to change it or you will report her in to the insurance company for frad~!
when you moved out you would of had to get your own insurance and still have to pay a high fine. so suck it up. She could of given it to you let you get your license and not let you drive her car and not put you on just as easly so don't do anything
