Why dont babies poop in the whomb...but do almost immediately after birth?

Do females take on that job through the umbilical cord?

Answer:
babies do "poop" in the womb. The first stool is called meconium and usually doesn't occur until after birth unless the fetus is in distress ( ex: overdue or long labor etc.) There is a risk for the baby aspirating the meconium at birth.
Actually some do poop in the womb before they are born.
Yes, babies produce a waste in utero but it's absorbed through moms body.
the babies do #2 through the umbilical cord
My daughter pooped before I had her and we had to have a peditrcion there when she was born to make sure she did not swollow any as she was being born. They docter said it happened because of me being under stress during my pregancy
Actually baby's do poop in the womb. My niece pooped when my sister was dilating, but she didn't dilate fast enough so they had to do an emergency c-section because my nieces heart beat was dropping.
