What's a bicornuate uterus? How is this going to stop me having kids?

I'm so sorry about your attack and your loss.
Basically a bicornuate means that there is 2 parts or "horns" of your uterus.
I have a mild bicornuate and have had 3 full term children and 2 miscarriages (13 weeks and 15 weeks). So it is possible to have kids, just a bit harder. Also because of my bicornuate I got bad retained placentas with my last 2 and so cannot have anymore ids (well I can get pregnant but another pregnancy and delivery could kill me).

what u were attacked with a knife i dont know what that kind of uterus but im sure im about to find out from answs u cant cope with being attacked by knife or losing baby or what is ur question

Ok...loooong story. I too, have a bi-cornuate uterus.
What that means is that you have a heart shaped uterus, where the rest of the population has a more round uterus. Ours, has the part in the middle where the heart indents at the top. It means that there's a wall, or a septum that hangs down into your uterus. For me, that means that I carry on one side of my uterus.
For me, it's the left side that I carry on. This can cause ALL sorts of problems. I have had over 10 miscarriages. BUT...I do have good news. I have three, very healthy boys now. The first child I had naturally. The second and third, were both emergency c/section.
With my second child, my uterus lost elasticity. It did this because I can only use one side, and well...your uterus can only stretch so far. One good kick, and he kicked right through the uterus and his head was hanging out into my abdominal cavity. Since your uterus when pregnant is the largest organ to receive blood, when he ruptured through the wall, he caused massive internal bleeding. It came through my vaginal canal almost instantly. It didn't hurt...it was just really quick, and I lost a lot of blood immediately. I went down to 6 pints, and pretty much lost conciousness within seconds after calling my husband to tell him I was bleeding. He scooped me off of my office floor (I was there alone) and took me to the hospital. My son was taken right then and there within minutes. The whole event took less than thirty minutes.

I'm not telling you that it's easy, but I am telling you that if you want babies, you can HAVE babies. My last two were born at 27 weeks gestation and 30 weeks gestation. It was risky, it was scary, and it was hard. But...they are normal, frisky, rebellious, fun-loving, awesome kids now.

So sorry to hear about your experience. However don't panic about the uterus. I have a heart shaped Uterus and I have three children. I wasn't aware of it until a doctor was retrieving a retained placenta and felt it. As far as I can tell the drawbacks are very painful periods until you have a baby and it all gets 'stretched' and not feeling the contractions over the top of the uterus when you are in labour. I have had loads of complications with my pregnancies (including a stillbirth) but none caused by the weird shape of the uterus. I hope that this allays your fears at this sensitive time.
