My husband and I have 4 children already---all boys, ages 12, 7, 4, and 3. We both really wanted a girl. About a year ago I bought the book "How to Choose the Sex of your Baby" by Dr. Landrum B. Shettles as recommended by the secretary at my OB/GYN's. But shortly after buying the book, we decided that it was better not to have any more kids. On Christmas Eve, someone that I never expected would say this, said to me while I was playing with a little girl..."see that's what you need a little girl". It totally threw me off! A few nights after that, I had a dream that I had a little girl. I could see her little face at various ages. That has really gotten to me and I think about it everyday now. I still have the book and wanted to "try it out". But I also realize that there is a pretty good chance it could be another boy! I just wanted to see if anyone has tried it and succeeded in getting the "girl" they wanted after having a boy or 2, or 3, or 4! You get my point.

I have 3 boys and understand how you feel. After 2 boys my husband agreed to one more try for my girl. I read shettles but thought it was too risky for my last chance to have a girl. We opted for erricson albumin (sperm separation, simiar to microsort)..as you know I had a boy. I was shocked and devestated. of course, now I love my baby boy and would never trade him. I continue to want a daughter the only sure thing is adoption or Pre gender determination tecnique. Good luck. I hope you find peace with the girl thoughts..I am hoping to find mine.-kr
