I have a friend who named their son Colin - My first thought on hearing the name was "What were you thinking?!"
Ellis sounds like a girl's name...sorry, but I'm being honest. I HATE Nellie, but I'm sure there are worse names.
Boy - John and Gilbert

barnabas. for boys or girls. imagine someone shouting that name at you from across a busy road!
I really dont like the names Devan, Tristian or Easton. I think Olivia and Grace are pretty for a girl. And Jackson is a strong name for a boy. Also, i like Asher for a boy.
Bertha, Buela, Frannie,Bonnie, Susan, Suri, Apple, Tulula--I hate all those girls names.
Harry, George, Sam, Chuck, Charles just to name a few bad boy names.
I HATE all those awful cheesy names that american people insist on calling their kids. Names like Madison, Jayden, corey etc. they are horrible and sound so trailer!
Boy's names: Chase (something you do to someone. Usually involves a weapon in my family!).
Chance (something you take).
Johnny, because there are too many of them.
Girl's names: Elizabeth, because I just don't like it.
Anything relating to months or seasons.
Names I like are Curtis, William, and Paul for boys, and Julia, Samantha, Jessica, and Katharine.
I can't stand the name, Nevaeh. Sorry to all those parents with daughters named that, but it is just tacky IMO. I still can't understand why it is so popular.
Gertrude!
i think the name gilbert for a boy is lame and for a girl barbie or any seasons why would a parent name there child winter or summer .For a boy a think austin is a good name and for a girl ...abigal.
Any name that is spelled oddly just to make it different. Kaitlyn, Caitlynne, Katelyn; Jaidyn, Jaden, Jaydenne, etc. I even saw a Kaithrynne once.
If the name is so popular that you think you need a crazy spelling, maybe your should consider a less trendy name. They sound the same when spoken and your child will be spelling their name to others for the rest of their lives!
girl-Stephanie
boy-John
gertrude, phyliss, marvin. I also had a great aunt named ernistine (ernie for short) and another aunt named Wayla, those are some bad names if you ask me.
