Does anyone know how likely it is to get pregnant on ortho evra?

I don't think that it is very likely at all, but you REALLY need to reconsider your choice of Birth Control.
On Oct, 2004 I got really short of breath after just 6 months on this patch. (before this episode, I LOVED the patch! I Thought it was the greatest thing ever!) After a day and a half, I could barely breath at all, and the PAIN! I can't even describe it! Somehow I made my way to the doctor and their first thought was that I was having a heart attack, but VERY QUICKLY realized that I had a blockage in my lungs. I was taken to the ER and when the picture of my lungs came back, I had so many clots that they couldn't even count them! I was told that it "looked like rain" in my lungs! BOTH LUNGS!! I could have died within minutes! I was EXTREMELY LUCKY that the ER docs and my FP were on their toes that day!
I am going to be on blood thinners for the rest of my life, can NEVER take any kind hormone again, I need inhalers twice a day, and also have a fast acting one for emergencies, I get my blood checked at LEAST once a month, I see a pulmonologist every three months, Can't take any OTC drugs except tylenol, and I have to wear this UGLY necklace that says "ANTI-COAGULANTS"!!
It's true, some people are not affected this way, but I would NEVER recommend this to anyone!
When I started using this patch, there were no black box warnings on the drug. Now, I believe there is! I was 38, VERY HEALTHY, and a NON-SMOKER!
