How can i get assistance for my mother in law??

my mother in law lives an hour and a half away, she has severe arthritis and can't walk, get groceries etc. i'm concerned for her health and safety.

Answer:
There's something called the visiting nurse service that can help her out and Meals on Wheels can help with food.
See if someone can take down to apply for SSI. Make sure she has all her Medical records. She should qualify.
Get her Life Alert, it is being advertised on TV, and actually, I hear good things about it. It's a button that she wears around her neck like a pendant, so she never loses it, and it's always at hand, even if she has fallen and can't get up. It is directly connected with 911. Sounds like she needs one! Here's the link for more info: http://www.lifealert.com/
