Some Help Please??

Okay I asked some questions about being induced a couple of hours ago and got some great answers and even someone warning me against cytotec. So I looked at my paper and that was one of the things listed on there for me to take when I am induced on wed. So I looked it up on the internet and got a lot of info on it and I am deciding to decline it. I will take the gel because I didnt find any harmful things about it, and a few side effects to the Pitocin but nothing major. I was looking up things to help me get my cervix ready for then and I found evening primrose oil. Has anyone done this before? and how well did it work? I am also having a lot of sex but I will continue to do that. Any other things to help ripen my cervix? and what exactly does Raspberry Tea leaf do? I have heard alot about that as well. Sorry for the tons of questions but Wed. is like just around the corner and I want to know all that I can. Thanks!

Answer:
Kegels and massage (down there). It works, my sister did the massage (your husband can help) and she didn't tear with either child. You basically just massage your birth canal, especially in the back towards the rectum. It's sounds gross, but it works. If you are considering an epideral, take a can of Coke with you (not Pepsi or Dr. Pepper, for some reason Coke works best). For some reason if they do it incorrectly, it can give you a really bad headache, the Coke helps to prevent this. My sister-in-law swears by it. Best of luck and CONGRATS!!
Talk to your doctor, you dont want to do anything to hurt the baby.
I have never used evening primose, I've heard it works well though. I can't think of anythign else that you are not doing already. Red Raspberry leaf tea does NOT induce labor at all. What it actually does is makes labor easier but in order for that to happen you have to drink it 2-3 times a day for the entire pregnancy. BTW I had both of my girls at 41 weeks 2 days after induction was scheduled & went on my own the night before the induction. lol
Drink Castor Oil! It will put your body into labor without having to enduce. It worked for me - 3 for 3 :-)

Good Luck!
red raspberry tea tones your uterus and helps contractions to start, I drank some and went into labor rather quickly when I was exactly 40 weeks. You can buy it at health food stores.
