Have you had a Vasectomy? Have you had your tubes tied?
What are the side effects? Is it easily reversible? What is the down time involved with surgery? Can you still impregnate a woman?
If you have had your tubes tied what are the side effects? Do you gain weight? Is it easily reversible?
Answer:
My husband just got his vasectomy about 3 months ago! It was so easy it was done right in the doctors office same day no hassel, i even stayed in the room with him, They side effect he had was some burning then a little soreness but he was back to himself the next day (taking it easy of course) you can still get pregnant until after they check you and let you know its ok that there was no live sperm, then after that theres hardley at all chance of getting pregnant, but to reverse it is very expensive! If a women does the tieing of the tubes theres alot more time off work and a lot harder on a women then on a man and plus the expense is alot more the risk is higher cause you would have to be put asleep and the man doesnt and for him the whole process takes about 15-20 min.. its up to you but i think that hey i carried two children for nine months plus gave birth so it was his time to do something!
ex had a vasectomy.. then had it successfully reversed.. but don't count on the reversal.. it's an iffy process.. Down time for his vasectomy was about 2 days..
My husband had a vasectomy. Its been very effective. Just make sure you go back and give the 2 samples afterwards to make sure the sperm count is zero. My husband was out of work only for 2 days. I'm not a man but he wasn't to uncomfortable or in excruciating pain from it.
this pains me to say..
a vasectomy is a safer procedure and more easily reversable.
try to talk him into the vas., rather than having your tubes tied.
he will still be able to perform sexually.
Recovery is minimal...Really sore for a day or two,a little sore for about a week.
Had my tubes tied when I was 22, the day after the birth of my second child. I really couldn't be happier. They went in through my "belly button" so there wasn't a scar to speak of. I am 36 now, and I have never had to worry about birth control, (buying it, remembering to take it...etc.) It's been a great decision for me.
I had my tubes tied about 3 years ago. My Dr made me wait until 4 weeks had passed after I gave birth before he done mine. It is considered a major surgery but mine was done on an outpatient basis. I checked in at 7am and was back home by noon. I was in a considerable amount of pain for the first day, and you will have vaginal bleeding afterward. I have 2 little scars, one on the inside of my belly button and one on my lower abdomen. They are about the size of a small pea now. Don't go into the procedure thinking that it can easily be reversed later. Make sure that you absolutely DO NOT want any more kids. Sometimes they can successfully reverse it, but not always. I now regret the day I let them do mine. I never thought I would want another child, but now I wished I had that option. Good luck in whatever you choose!!
Vasectomy,IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.
My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
My husbad had a vasectomy last April (we have 3 sons). I stayed in the room with him during the process, and its really not that bad at all. They numb the area a little, and then the procedure takes about 20 minutes. They cut the tube and then burn the ends so they cant reconnect. There are no side effects, and my husband was up and around the next day. He was a little sore for a couple days, but not bad enough to need any pain medication, even though it was prescribed. It is not easy to get the procedure reversed, and you cannot get a woman pregnant-however, that is not immediate. You still have to use some kind of birth control about 6 weeks after and then take in a sample to see if any sperm remains. Hope this helps, and really-no matter what anyone says, it really isnt that bad!
I had a vasectomy at 21, and my girlfriend had her tubes tied at 27. Today we are 40, and 35. For the most part it is 6 one way, and a half-dozen the other way. The vasectomy is cheaper, and much less complicated. I suggest that route.
There are no side effects to either except for having more money in your pocket because you are not spending it on children, or more children.
