The websire below sells tee shirts, and for pretty cheap too. Do a search for baby boy or baby girl. I know they have some "proud grandparents of a baby." tee shirts. Sit them down and tell them who supportive they've been blah blah blah. That you just really wanted to get them something to show how much you appreciate them! Wah-lah cute tee shirt!
Make a photo frame for each set of parents that says "Our (first?) Grandaughter/Grandson" and have a sonogram photo in each one.
Make t-shirts that say "I love my Grandaughter/Grandson" or maybe, if you're going to their houses, wear shirts yourself decorated in pink or blue that says "It's a girl" or "It's a boy"
when we found out we were having a girl we sent our test strip to my mother with the name olympia paige on it.. when she got it she said she couldn't stop crying and said it was very cheeky of us.. but she was thrilled...or send them a bunch of flowers with something blue or pink attached saying IT'S A (what ever he or she is) good luck i'm sure the tears will flow..
if it is a boy, distribute cigars each with a blue ribbon and a note tied to it saying "it's a boy" ....
if a girl, distribute donuts with a pink ribbon tied to each one with a note "it's a girl".
then, bring out the champagne and little plastic cups with either blue or pink ribbons around them. meanwhile, as you are passing the cups, your wife comes out with a can decorated in blue or pink ribbons with a note pasted on it inscribed "we accept donations for the new member of the family" and tell everyone, checks are accepted!

Arrange a family BBQ, have a Pinyata full of lollies and candy or even baby items to suit the sex of ur child, coz if they want to know that bad than they'll beat the crap out of it, trust me it works at keeping them in suspence that little longer when the answer is right "above" they're heads. Fun and laughs all round and both ur parents will bond that little extra b4 bubz is born.

i wouldnt. that way theres no problem if the ultrasound is wrong. US are so inaccurate unless you are having and amnio done you really can't know until birth.
besides, i would enjoy tormenting my mother and making her wait
