How about naming your baby after me, a total stranger? My name, Alana, has meanings in Hawaiian, Italian, and French, so it covers all the bases. Plus, maybe I'm biased, but I think it's cool. Whatever you do, you shouldn't probably give the baby one of those really long, hard-to-pronounce Hawaiian names, because kids get mad if people can't say their names right.
