How can I fight for custody from the mother of the baby's mother?
Answer:
Part of it depends on what state you live in and the baby is in... also depends on if you are of legal age yourself, and if you signed any papers of any kind.
I know for a fact in California there is no such thing as Grandparent rights (thank God), I will never leave here because of my mother in law...
Really you should seek some legal help, if you are under age you need help from your family as well. Actually you should try and get you family's support no matter what it will help you in the long run! Good Luck!!!!!
you didn't say how old you were. if you're interested in custody, or visitation, you need to retain a lawyer.
she won't be able to, unless your situation is not good for the baby. just be good parents and provide well for the baby and prove that you can be parents and you should be fine.
What a B*****! Get a good job, have a house or apartment and get yourself a lawyer. How old are you? That lady has no right to take her baby away from you or her daughter. Grandparents have no rights but anyway get a lawyer just in case.
Firtst off, get a lawyer! There may also be help lines in your area that you can call for helping fathers get custody of their child(ren). They provide a lot of useful information because daddy's rights seem to be null-and-void. Good luck!
You did not actually give enough information for anyone to give an accurate answer. For those who say the girls mother is a b**** you do not have a clue what kind of parents these people are. She may believe it is in the childs best interest. If the court agrees, then obviously she is right. Do not jump to conclusions. This person doesnt even say how old he is. He could be a pedophile for all we know! Calm down people!
