Before my children were born, I wouldn't be able to answer your question. Now that they, a son and a daughter, have been born and alive for 20+ years, I DEFINITELY couldn't answer your question. To believe in gender character traits is a losing proposition. I can tell you that I love both my son and daughter immensely, as he just came back from his second tour in Iraq in the U.S. Army, and she is living with her mother not far from me, and with the experience of having been given by God both a son and a dauther, I can tell you that they're both ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, even on their bad days, which they've both had throughout the years. If you ever have kids, you'll know what I mean. God Bless you.

I grew up with 4 brothers, house became cowboys and indians, and barbies were the parents to the gi-joes and leggos...
I have no idea what to do with a girl :) I just know boys and what they play and how they play..
So I guess you have to judge it on how you feel and how you were brought up, but thankfully, you have no choice as to what sex of baby you will have :)

I wasn't supposed to be able to have any children and then I became pregnant. I wanted a girl so bad. Couldn't explain why but I didn't want a boy at all. I have my girl and I'm now pregnant again (funny how wrong doctors can be) and this time I'm happy either way.

Being a man I was so sure about wanting to have a boy, then my wife and I had a little girl 1 year ago. Now I would not trade the world for the pure joy I have in our daughter.
I would take whatever was given to me, but having raised 3 daughters and now raising a 2 year old granddaughter and a 3 year old grandson, I see the differences. Boys are much rowdier than girls but girls are much harder in the middle school years. I think both have their good points and their bad points.
I have three girls and one boy. Each one of them have their own personality. I will say the girls are much more emotional and you do have a bonding thing with them as a woman. My son is very close to me, but not as much when he was younger. He is now sixteen. I will say the well-behaved is not a sex thing. Girls can be just as bad behaved as boys. It is a toss up.

Well, Most little girls I know ( and my friends have all girls act just like my 3 boys do) They are full of energy. I have always wanted a girl though. Now that I have had boys I dont know what I would say to that question. Even though I still really want a girl.
I think I would prefer a son if I could only have one, but for the same reason that you think you would want a girl. Boys are more well-behaved in my opinion.
Girls are a lot harder to raise than boys are. ESPECIALLY as they get older. Oh my. Then you have the mood swings, and the boyfriends O_O and the 'you dont understand me, you never will!" and do you let them go out at night? Oh man...definitely a boy.
