When your tested for t 18 in your 20th week or so can it be in the mothers genes in every pregnancy?

Answer:
Are you asking about the AFP test? If so, this tests the mother's blood for varying levels of hormones that should fall between certain levels at that point in her pregnancy. So to answer your question, I think it would NOT be in her genes in every pregnancy because they are not looking at her genes when that test is being conducted. (They are looking at hormone levels in the blood.)
