How far apart do contractions start?
Answer:
I didn't even feel my early ones. (I was on a monitor at the hospital where my OBGYN sent me for an induction. Before they do an induction they need to see if you're already having contractions on your own. Turns out I was. Nurses were telling me I was having them, but I seriously had no idea for the first few hours.)
It's when there's any kind of consistent pattern that you should start timing them (otherwise they're likely braxton hicks) and when they're getting closer together then you know what to do.
Take care
They can be 5,10,15 minutes apart, the thing you are looking for is a pattern. If you have contraction every 10 minutes for an hour then you should get checked by your doctor. I had contraction every 7 minutes for 4 hours and dilated to 10 cm and didn't even know. I was having twins too,i did get to the doctors in time, thank god!! If you feel maybe you are in labor then you should atleast call your doctor.
It varies with each woman, no "rule". Usually, it's about 10 minutes apart for the woman to notice. I didn't have any regular ones until they were 4 minutes apart.. you just never know..
they can be hours apart in the beginning you just have to be able to recognize them.
E=Everyone is different, my first my water broke first, the second they were 2 min apart for almost 24 hours and the lat baby they were 5 min apart but I only had them eveery other hour so you never know if they are five part and have lasted longer than an hour go to the hospital the worst thing htey are going to do is send you home.
