Should i be doing this type of work? please help i pregnant need ur opinion...?

im a licensed nursing assistant and i work in a nursing home helping the elderly its a lota lifting and i already had a misscarriage before (not from lifting people i had a bighted ovum) and i was wondering if i shoud'nt be lifting people at all or just my first 3 months or even after too. i just dont want to go through that again!

Answer:
COMMON SENSE SAYS NOT TO DO ANY LIFTING ANY TIME DURING A PREGNANCY. GOD FORBID SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS, YOU WILL ONLY BLAME YOURSELF. GET ON BED REST IF NEED BE. PLEASE DO NOT LIFT ANYTHING OR ANYONE. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED TO LIFT ANYTHING OVER 10 POUNDS. THATS JUST MY OPINION. WOMEN SHOULDNT LIFT THINGS THAT ARE HEAVY REGARDLESS IF THEY ARE PREGNANT. WE HAVE TOO MANY INTERNAL ORGANS THAT CAN BE DAMAGED IF WE OVER EXERT OURSELVES. PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND. MY MOTHER SEEMS TO HAVE PAIN DOWN THERE ANYTIME SHE LIFTS SOMETHING HEAVY. SHE DOESNT REALIZE UNTIL I TELL HER THAT IT IS BECAUSE SHE LIFTED 30 POUNDS OF PIZZA DOUGH THAT HER LOWER ABDOMINAL AREA HAS PAIN. SO IF YOU ARE PREGNANT, IT IS DEFINATELY NOT GOOD TO LIFT "ANYTHING".
I would let my boss know that I was pregnant so hopefully he/she would put me on lighter duties.
LIfting is considered okay by most doctors. But some do disagree. You should talk to your OB and find out what they think is best for you.
That is something you should talk to your Dr about. Everyone is diffrent and need to be evaulated if their own ways.
You may want to inform your employer and not over work yourself or stress yourself that much or you may miscarry again. I'm soo sorry that happend to you by the way. You may also want to pick up lighter duties...if offered or not work as much as you would during a normal work week. Hope things work out!
i know when i was pregnant i did everything, pushing, pulling, lifting, ect. its all in the techinique. although i was not considered to be high risk. your boss should know that you are pregnant, and you really need to talk to your doctor about this situation. he will direct you in the right direction.
you definately need to change careers or put it on hold til the baby is born :)
Since you already had a miscarriage once I wouldn't risk it again. I used to work as a cna. They can always put you on light duty if you get a note from your doctor.
no you shouldnt be lifting people. you should let your boss know, get a doctors note if you need to.
you should NOT be lifting the people hun you should let them know that you are preg. I done that line of work with my first child and they put me on lighter duty. BEST WISHES
Your supervisor MUST assign you to duties that in no way put your pregnancy at risk. This is your right; ask for it to be put in practice.
