damn, that's just f***** up, get your gun ready when he comes out of prison in 7 years, the innocent needs more justice, the innocent doesn't deserve to be killed in anyway by someone, even if its a vehicle, think about 9/11, the terrorists used vehicles (planes) to crash into the WTC and kill all those ppl. But the justice system where I live seems ok, but most of them need to do better then what they are doing now.

Yes it's a disgrace. You try and do your bit to keep the population down and do you get any thanks for it? No they just chuck you into prison.

i agree 100% with you there. he would have got at least 15 years if he had shot them. people don't seem to realise that a car is just as much a lethal weapon as a gun if in the wrong hands. my heart goes out to the woman's family.

Sad, isn't it? A criminal can sue the owner of a house he breaks into when he gets hurt and win a huge settlement, but a family killed in a hit-and-run accident is only vindicated with a 7-year sentence.
omg, he only got 7 years 4 that, thats like a FEAKIN TIME OUT, he deserves the DEATH and nothing else, i dont usually agree with the death penalty, but he killed an inocent little boy, a mom, and an unborn baby, and has tromatized the family, they didnt loose 1 family memeber, they lost 3,he should be put to death.

You didn't mention that the driver didn't stop after the accident and dragged the woman's body over half a mile under his car.

i totally agree with you, also on the news there were 2 blokes who each got life sentences for murdering 1 man, how is this any different? i know the lad who killed them was only young but he dragged that poor girl for 1/2 a mile before stopping, now young or not you know when you've hit something or someone and you'd stop! the judge should have given him at least 20 years for failing to stop at the scene.
What's the saying "an eye for an eye" - should be "A life for a Life"! This is our judiciary system for you! I did see this item on the TV news last night; the victims' family were speaking about it and stated that he would be out of prison in 3 years. I bet they will be waiting for him - I would!!
Our judges are not in the real world - as long as they are OK sitting in their high seats and not a clue as to what is going on!!

the punishment should fit the crime - especially child rapists - public castration for these monsters without anaesthetic, then throw them to the mercy of the hardened crims in the prisons!!

That's absolutely disgusting - how is that justice? Have you noticed how drivers who kill other people always get ridiculously short sentences? It's about time something was done to change this. Three people have been killed by that man but he'll be out of prison in 3 and a half years to carry on his life.
This is one of those stupid anomalies with the law in the UK - if I kill somebody by shooting/strangling/poisoning etc, then I'm charged with murder - and a possible "life" sentence WHEREAS if I kill the same person by driving my car at them and killing them that way, I can only be charged with "Death by dangerous driving" which carries a meagre sentence, as the case in question shows.
A woman a couple cities over from where I live pushed her car into a lake with all 4 of her young children in it and watched them down (ages 3 months-6 years). I believe she got probation and court ordered mental help... Isn't the world wonderful?
How horrible! as you said what is the rest of the family to think... I would join you in hunting down this person when they get out! Justice should be served in a way that will help to deter people in the future from doing the same thing that he did..
