Should I go for a c-section with a 2 year exprinenced OB?
Answer:
They wouldn't be doing surgery and things if they weren't board certified. It is up to you though. Ones that have 20 years experience can mess up just as easily as someone with only 2 years experience.
I had a 2 c-sections. The one doctor that did mine had no experience at all, I was his first one and it was an emergency c-section.He did wonderful. No problems at all. My second one didn't go as good (minor complications but OK now) and that doctor had 10 years experience. Don't worry about it honey, you'll be fine.
I'm a surgical tech we do a lot of c-sections at the hospital i work at. Ive worked with some pretty bad ob gyn docs, and to be quite honest with you, its pretty hard to screw up a c-section. its actually a very simple procedure (despite popular belief). the biggest concern for the mother is loss of blood, which can be annulled by giving you blood (hardly ever necessary). And once the baby is out he or she goes directly to the pediatrician, so the ob gyn has absolutely nothing to do with the baby. but if you naturally just feel uncomfortable with your doc, you should do something. 25% of babies are born via c-section, its not brain surgery.
In 2 years, an OB has to perform countless c-sections. Plus the OB is fresh out of med school and will probably be even more careful (pride goes before a fall) than an older doctor.
I wouldn't be too worried.
