Nanny-do you have one?

And what do you pay her?
I watch a 2 1/2 year old 10 am-5 pm Mon-Fri, her 5 year old brother 3 pm-5 pm in their home and I also watch a 1 1/2 year old (not sibling, but I am allowed to watch him in the same house) 7:30am-between 4 pm and 8 pm Mon-Fri. I also have my 4 year old . My child and I are provided food (2 snacks and lunch) by the family who's 2 children I watch and the other child, I bring food for him (his parents pay me a 25 a month stipend for his food, besides what they pay me weekly)
What does everyone think would be a decent wage from both set of parents?

Answer:
I provide daycare in my home. I have a little boy mon-fri from 6:30 to 4:15 $25.00(which is a deal because anything over 9 hours is usually $30-35) I have a little girl half days from 12-5 for $20.00 and my before and after school kids are $10.00 each. These are my prices and I have been told that it is very cheap.(In Ontario Canada)Also no meals are supplied. The first family $35.00 a day and the second if the child is picked up by 4 or 5 pm $25.00 day after that $35.00 a day especially if it goes past 6:30 pm. Afull day is 9 hours anything more than that is overtime, they are probably making overtime, so you should make a bit xtra as well.
I can only tell you from my experience. I have a 2 yr. old, I pay the sitter $20 a day for around 8 1/2 hours each day, all week. It's at her house, but I try to provide most food for my child. I think $20 is not much, and have considered offering more, but not sure how much. Mainly for the food my child eats while there, cuz she has things when the other kids do, even though I do send her own lunch and snacks. Also because the sitter will have to deal with potty training. Would you have any suggestions about that? As far as what is a fair amount of pay? (sorry, I feel rude asking you a ? when you are looking for answers to yours. just curious, since you are a nanny yourself)
Wow those are full time jobs... well I used to sit for someone to only 3 days a week 2 hrs a day and i would get 150 a week. You should def. be gettting close to 400/. I think
a million years ago when i was being watched, my parents paid 5.50 an hour. my sitter watched me in her home from 6am until we left for school (8ish) and then after school from 3ish until 6. she also watched me from 6am-6pm during the summers. she would make us (myself, her 2 kids, and up to 3 other kids that she watched) lunch, take us shopping, take us to the pool. but this was also 10-15 years ago.
