I am 23 weeks pregnant why do my ribs ache but mostly at night?
Answer:
hi try sleeping on your left side witha pillow between your legs this will hopefully make your baby move ..good luck
becuase the baby sleeps up twords your ribs at night
Unborn babies are more active at night when you sleep. Possibly the baby is putting more pressure on your ribs at that time and causing you discomfort.
SUPPORTIVE BRA AND GOOD POSTURE (that is the best thing I can tell you) My boobs are so heavy that i sit funny and when I go to bed at night my ribs hurt so bad. My baby is due in 3 days and every contraction I get sends my ribs into a frenzy. If I sit up really straight it helps cut down on the pain at night.
Probably because the baby is lying awkwardly ( for you, not for him/her!) and making your sleeping position uncomfortable. Try exta pillows, behind your head, or back, or between your legs, under your feet, whatever helps!
Good luck

your little one is obviously getting comfy under your ribs at night when you lay down to rest. it really starts to hurt after a while i had the same thing with my Lil one and he started doing it when i would sit down to. you just got to put a Lil pressure on you bump were its hurting and hope he or she moves down. thats what i done.
hi ya try not to worry,it is totally normal the baby is now a good size and is pushing everything up and out,try getting a good maternity pillow to sleep on
when i was pregnant, my unborn baby was practically nocturnal - and from all the kicking and movement i felt from him, it felt like he was practising gymnastics inside me ! it does get more uncomfortable as your pregnancy progresses (sorry to tell u that !) u also get the growing pains as your body stretches and adapts to pregnancy. all your internal organs like your lungs, stomach, etc, get squashed up under ribcage to make way for your growing baby. best thing u can do is have a warm bath before going to bed, that way your body is relaxed and will probably ache less. if it starts to become really painful, speak to your midwife / doctor. good luck. x
Oh man..let me tell you, theres nothing you can do about it and it SUCKS. Mine has been getting progressively worse since week 27. I cant even strap my bra on anymore! My doctor says its because the baby hasn't dropped yet. Her feet are tormenting my poor rib cage! It helps to sit up very straight, to lay on my side in bed (sometimes!), and to lift my arms above my head or pull them behind my back. This stretched open your rib cage, leaving more space for your baby and less cramping for mommy. Good luck!
The same thing happened to me when I was pregnant. It was because my baby would get much more active at night and would kick the sh** out of my ribs. It hurt!
