14 weeks pregnant today and no longer looking pregnant...?
the problem is I love the look of the pregnant belly and mine is now disappearing with the weight loss. Obviously it will come back in a few weeks or a month, but is that normal to look pregnant and than all of a sudden not. Just because I am losing weight, my uterus is still growing.
Answer:
You looked pregnant before because of intestinal bloating - not the baby because he/she is wayyyy too small to be the cause at this point. YOu've changed your diet, are losing weight and transitioning into 2nd trimester - all of which will decrease the bloating. Is totally normal. Relax, the belly will be back before you know it.
No my cousin didn't start gaining until her last 3 months
while in the early stages you are losing weight faster than the baby is growing. As you know the baby is only a couple inches long during the first few months. It's likely that you didn't look as pregnant as you thought you did...I'm not saying your crazy or anything but its easy to believe we look "bigger" than we really are and now that you are losing the weight, you feel odd since you know the opposite should be happening. If the doctor says its okay, then I would go with that. He is right about the reason for the weight loss, you are eating better. So, even though your losing weight, its still healthier for the baby. Just relax, as you know, you'll feel "too pregnant" in a few more months so enjoy it while it lasts.
I am 14 weeks today too!!
I have lost six pounds-and I have not been sick! It's from eating better and exercising.
Congrats!
