For moms who got pregnant right after they married, do you wish you had waited longer to have a child?
Answer:
YES! It is so nice to have alone time with your spouse. When you have a baby you don't realize that another person is living with you. It's hard to find time alone. The romance has to be quick and quiet. You have your whole life to have children. You should allow yourselves a few short years alone. Plus, divorce rates are rising. You need to talk it through together. Be responsible. Waiting may seem hard, but it's having a child that is really the hard part.
I didn't exactly get pregnant right away. It took eight months. But we started trying right away. I am so happy it happened the way it did. And I would of been just as happy if it had been sooner. Even though we are a young family and times are tough (I am 21 and my husband 22) I wouldn't have it any other way and we are trying for another.
I went through the same thing..and at first I was nervous! However in time I realized what a blessing it was and that it brought my husband & I even closer together! So don't worry..just relax and enjoy your pregnancy and your new hubby! GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS
NO NO and NO! I was actually 7 mos preg. when I got married (had an oops!) But I would never change a day! I am now the proud mother of Two daughters, ages 7 and 5, a son almost 3 and soon to be son (due april!) Things are a little hectic, but even if you wait to have children... things will get hectic then also. If you and your spouse have a good understanding of each other, and a strong relationship you will make it thru anything! I think that if things would have happened differently, I still think we would have had kids right away. If you wait until you both are "ready" you probably will never have children. Nothing prepares you more for having children than actually having them. Good luck to you!
At the time, I wished I had waited because her dad was certainly not ready. Now 18 years later,I see that I raised a beautiful young woman and I am only 40. She will be off to college soon and I have a lot of freedom. The only thing I wish is that I met my current husband sooner so I could have had more.I"m really not done being a "Mommy" which she still calls me.
I got pregnant a month after we got married. In a way I wish we would have waited a little longer but Im very happy right now Im 33 weeks and I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
My son was born nine months and one week after my wedding and I have no regrets what so ever. It really is a case by case thing, for some people it is great and others may struggle. I guess it depends on how strong your relationship is, how old you are and if you are ready. Having a baby is a full time job and very hard work, but it has been the thrill of my life.
no im glad we did things the way we did. we still have a great time together and get out on dates when we want. its nice having the kids around too;.
No, I am glad it happened when it did. We were married for 4 months when I got pregnant. However, even though that worked for us, there are many variables to consider when making your own decision. Such as...how old you are, how long have you known your spouse, and do you feel financially secure to support a new child? My husband and I had known each other for over 8 years and he was 33 years old and ready to begin a family. We had plenty of time together before we were married. I also had just finished my training and was ready to begin my career. Having a child is a wonderful experience, but you want to make sure you are ready. Good luck!
I waited 3.5 years and I'm glad I did I got time to learn more about my husband and we became closer and I learned great cooking and cleaning skills and I was allowed 3.5 years to climb the corporate ladder I'm Glad I waited because it let my husband and I to have time to spend with each other I now have a 7 year old son a 3 year old daughter and I'm 3 months pregnant with a baby boy it also let us get settled and find a great house for our family
we had 3 kids before we got married and had a baby together as soon as we meet, we really wish now we had some our time do things like see that movie, or go to that show , or on the spurr of the moment say lets go to country for the night, having a babay is a big change in your life and good one but a big one
