Please respond if you have had your "tubes tied".?
there has been much discussion on this topic here over the past few days and I am becoming quite worried and confused. I am scheduled for a tubal after I give birth to my son. However, I am very concerned about the high number of people claiming that either they themselves or someone they know conceived after a tubal. Just for reassurances purposes can I ask some who never had a problem to please respond? Thank you very much. I love my children, but I am done at this one, my third. I opted for the tubal because I thought that it was the most effective. If I still need condoms or birth control, why do it? It sounds like the same Russian roulette you get from any other type of contraception.
Answer:
i am the mother of 7 children my youngest is 8months. i got my tubes tied when i gave birth to my son. there are to diffrent ways to get your tubes tied. one is to get them cut and tied the diffrence between this is that when you decided to have children again you can go back and get them undone. the second one is to have then cut and burned. once you get them burned you can no longer have children again. talk to your doctor if you have anymore questions.
I had a tubal 18 years ago in May. Never had a problem and never felt like I had to use contraceptives afterwards, either.
i have a 2 year old son, i'm 22, and i had a tubal about a year ago. i *ah-hmmm* get LOTS of sex and have had no surprises. it's nice not having to worry about birth control medications or condoms. i'm extremely happy with my decision to have a tubal. i've had no complications, and would recommend this for anyone. the recovery time was a few days... the pain wasn't that bad either, nothing that ibuprofen won't cure. hope this helps.
Okay...that scares the crap out of me!! I had my "tubes tied" in August. No pregnancy yet!! Good luck!! No really...GOOD LUCK!
HEY,I HAD A TUBAL AFTER MY FOURTH CHILD WAS BORN.i have sex almost every night and i havent had any problems and i had mine done six years ago..i say have it done.i has worked great for me..
I had one after the birth of my daughter and she is now 26 yrs old. I never had to worry about an unwanted pregnancy or using any birth control. they say it's 99% effective just to make sure if someone does show up pregnant, They won't try to go after the doctor and sue. Rest assure... it will work and it the best decision, I ever made. No regrets here
I think getting your tubes tied is all wrong, God didn't make you so that you can get them tied. If you don't want anymore kids then use condoms. And my ex-mother n law told me after she got her tubes tied she has always had period problems, my sister had her tubes tied and now she has stomach problems (doctor thinks which ever doctor tied them tied them to the skin in her stomach) so if thats the case she has to go get surgery again. But she has been having horrible problems ever since she had hers tied..my ex's auntie also told me she has had period problems also..bleeding longer and heavier for years now. But maybe you'll be different..But yeah i believe you shouldn't get them tied b-cus, like I said, God didn't make you to get them tied. If he did he would have tied them himself.
the chances are slim I had my tubes tied 8 years ago and I don't use any other protection and no egg has slipped thru, and yes it is effective as long as the doctor does it right you'll be fine.
I had a tubal after my son was born. 3 hours after he was born to be exact. My dr removed alot of my tubes he cut them, tied them and they were burnt. Tubals are generally 99% effective against pregnancy
with any sergruy there is a small risk you are taking but i had my tubes tied after my third and have no problems any more ? about it feel free to ask me
I just want to say I loved this question.
I can't answer it because i haven't yet had mind done but I'm pregnant with my 3rd and final baby and am wishing to discus this with my doctor at my next visit. It hadn't occurred to me that it may not work. I've only ever heard positives really. I loved the comment saying it didn't even really hurt and that she recovered quickly. thanks for posting this question and thanks for all who answered it.
