What about the name Remedy, for a girl?

Does the name Remedy for a girl sound okay? I was thinking Remedy Lynn. Or possibly Harper. Harper Lynn or Remedy Lynn, what do you think?

Answer:
Remedy is interesting.. I don't HATE it persay. but I don't think I could give my daughter that name. However, Harper sounds very old-fashioned and lovely. I like Harper a lot - that'd be a good way to ensure your child is the only one of her name in class, without her being named a color or a fruit. :)
no no no
I like Harper. Remedy just sounds too Hippie.
sorry but don't like any of them..

sh.
Remedy is awful. What is she a remedy for? Don't do that to your daughter. Harper is OK, but remedy is bad, bad, bad.
Nope. Neither one.
You do know what the name remedy means? Remedy is a common term for a medicine that cures something. It's a pretty name, but just be aware that she may get teased because of it. Children can be cruel--and adults too. I'd go with Harper if it was me.
I think it's a terrible name for a child.
I LOVE the name remedy lynn!
Honestly, it's a word that I don't think will ever work as a name on a person. It sounds silly and if I think if I ever saw the name I'd wonder why the word was chosen as a name. Harper I don't like at all either but if I had to choose it would be Harper over Remedy.
I like Harper Lynn better. It sounds more like a name. Remedy reminds of like cold remedy. i like the middle name, its the same as mine!
Harper Lynn has a nice ring to it.
Well, here is a possible line used when older..

"yeah, I got the perfect Remedy for ya...if you know what I mean"

Harper Lynn seems a little safer.
none of them really... it's just too bizarre
Remedy is wrong. Maybe just Reme
Naming your child is a personal choice, and most parents see it as a reflection of who they are and their personalites. Just keep in mind that your child will have this name for the rest of their life, and school age children are relentless in teasing. Trying to be unique is one thing, but a strange name can lead to heartbreak for your child later in life. Ask Apple Paltrow-Martin in five more years! :) I think Harper is the safer choice, since you are asking opinions! Thanks.
it sounds cool. like from that black crowes song. but i think a lot more people won't like it than will like it. so you might want to pick a middle name that you could live with calling her, in case she grows up to really not like remedy. lynn is a bit blah. it's my middle name, so it's not like i'm knocking it, but you may want to be a little more imaginative than that. just a suggestion.
Ms. Artistic One, your desire for creativity is commendable, but a name is something your daughter will live with forever. In 7th-10th grade especially, she will really want to fit in, and anything that makes her stand out is something she could be teased for. I like Harper. Using a surname as a first name is cool. Pick something artistic or unusual if you want, but not unheard of.
I don't think many people can overlook the meaning to Remedy so it wont sound like a name to many people. But it is your child & what ever you like and are comfortable with use.
I like Harper better... Although Remedy has a nice sound, I just think she would get teased too much with the meaning.
Remedy!!?? Are you going to name your other kids "Cure" and "Medicine?" Some names "sound" nice, but don't forget they have meanings, too. That is a strange name, considering what it means.
If you really like Remedy, maybe try Remy instead. Or use it for the middle name. If you are looking for a unique name, try merging two special names or just finding one you like that isn't on the "Top 100" or is a very high number on that list.
"Hi my name is Remedy Lynn, nice to meet you."

"Remedy Lynn? Hahahahahahahahaha!"

Poor kid, don't do that to her. Harper is so much more sensible and doesn't give kids (or adults) an opportunity to pick on her name-wise.

Personally, I think Remedy is cool but the repercussions of naming her Remedy won't be cool at all.
Remedy is not a good choice...just think of the teasing in the future...Harper is very pretty, though..I'd go with that name.
Remedy - isn't that what they call the medicine that makes you better?? I'd try again.
