What is the best PC RPG for a mature 7 YO? He likes Star Wars Galaxies, but it is hard for him.?

Have you considered Guild Wars? There is no monthly fee and there are hundreds of hours of gameplay with each expansion. I've run into many young children playing and several of them are what I would consider elite players. If a mission is very hard you can often pay a super player a small amount of gold to help you through it. Better than that you can often find someone to help you for free. Ahriman's Prophecy is an action RPG, and Aveyond is command-based. They have old-school graphics...I've played AP and it's pretty good. I've never played Star Wars Galaxies so I'm not sure how difficult it is in comparison, but they have trial downloads so he can try it out before you buy.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) and KOTOR 2 They are both excellent games. They are both older games, though not too old, so you can get both for the price of one of the newer games. Plus, you don't need a bleeding edge PC. A PC that's 2 or 3 years old will do. A graphics card like an Nvidia G-force 4 will do.
