How does adoption work in India after you use a Surrogate in India?

I want to use a Surrogate in India to have a child and then adopt it.My husband is Hindu Indian . We live in Canada and want to go to India to complete the procedure and take the child back to Canada. How much is the lawyer and how does the law work for these type sof things in India?

Answer:
OK let me get this straight. You want a surrogate to carry you and your husbands child? I dont think that you have to adopt it since it would be your child, genetically. I think that if you find a surrogate that you like you could fly them to Canada, unless it really makes a difference to you to have your child conceived in India. Or you could find a woman of Hindu Indian heritage somewhere around you and save yourselves a plane trip. You would probably need to make sure that your paperwork states that it is your child and that she cant change her mind. A friend and his wife are into something kinda like that here in America, she is going to be a surrogate. I know that she gets paid so much each month, then a lump sum after the child is born, totaling something like 38,000 dollars for the whole procedure. And she gets all her medical paid for, plus miscellanous other stuff...I think that it would be cheaper to find a relative to carry your child, most are willing to do it free of charge. I dont know how the medical billing would go. Good luck.
