I find it highly unlikely. The placenta ages and loses its' effectiveness the longer the baby stays in the womb. That is why most DR.s want to get the baby out by 42 weeks. I think the chances are very slim that the placenta could support a baby for that much past the due date, and I think a Dr. that would let a pregnancy progress that far would be a very poor physician and setting himself up for a lawsuit. While anything is always possible...you probably have a better chance of winning the lotto than this actually being true.
sorry, but that is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE!! wow, if she is trying to say that she did not cheat and if this is the only time of possibly conception..RUN to get a paternity test!!

Sadly it is possible, however the doctors usually dont let u go this long, they usually induce labor 2 weeks after your due date, i just want to say so sorry to the mommy, im 34 weeks now and i feel like i wanna die!!
There is no way she conceived in Feb of 2006 and deliverd Jan. 2007. It is just not possible. Not only would a baby not stay in that long but the doctor taking care of the woman would not allow her to go more than two weeks over due date. So sorry but she conceived some other time than in February.

The baby can not survive in the uterus past the 10th month. The baby would be still born as it needs to breath and eat for itself after a certain period.
If you didn't sleep together after that, the baby is someone elses.
That's not possible...could you imagine how LARGE that baby would be? I think that either the doctor was off, or your woman wasn't being to faithful to you.
I doubt it, how do you know the exact day you conceived? I know that some people carry longer than their due date, my mom carried me 2 weeks pat my due date. Which if you think about it a pregnancy is actually 10 months, so if she carried me 2 weeks over thats 10 1/2 months, but I dont think they let you go any more than 2 weeks over.
It probably has happened somewhere to somebody, but typically the OB/GYN will induce labor long before 11 months.

It would highly unusual and a medical mystery at least. I won't say anything is impossible, but this would be extremely rare. According to the above website, conception would have occurred on April 22, 2006. What I think may have happened is that she conceived in February and then miscarried without knowing it and then conceived a second time in April. Just my two cents. Hope that helps.
The only way that it may be possible is that the date of conception is wrong or the doctor you were with doesn't practice induction.

maybe your conception date is wrong or that must have been one big baby she had, I have never heard of that before...the conception date should be the first day of her last period...if that was 02-27-06 then her due date should hve been 12-04-06...if the baby wasnt born until 01-13-07 then the date of conception/first day of her last period should have been around 04-09-06.I think you have your dates or terms wrong
No, baby had to be conceived at a later date. I know sperm can live for up to 10 days inside after ejaculation, so conception could actually take place up to 10 days after the act but even so, babies are only left to go 2 weeks over due date.
You've got the date of conception wrong. Her doctor would induce labor at 42 weeks, or the child's life would be endangered by poisoning of the meconium in utero.
By the way, the pregnancy is measured from the first day of her last menstrual period (LMP), NOT from the date of conception. For example, in my last pregnancy, the baby was conceived on May 7, 2006 and due on January 28, 2007. The first day of my LMP was on April 23, 2006 (when I was out of town visiting my parents -- you can see how my husband was concerned at first!) Therefore, you are literally already considered 2 weeks pregnant on the day you conceive. It can be difficult to figure out an accurate date of conception when the woman's periods are not regular or when she is not having periods at all (often happens after having a baby when a woman conceives again before her periods resume).
I know, it sounds stupid. I think the 40 weeks is referring to the date the egg was supposedly ovulated or something, instead of conception. Still, it is not likely that she would give birth 1/13/07 after conceiving 2/27/06. It would have to have been sometime in early May.
