At what age are people ready to assume the right of adulthood>?

Answer:
i know some 50 year olds that are not ready for adulthood!
If you're asking, you really not there yet. Sorry!
I think it all depends on the person, but here are some of my opinions:

14 to drink, because hopefully parents will be supervising it and the kids will be bored of it and getting drunk will just be stupid in their eyes. I was always allowed to drink, and so I have never even been drunk. For me it was just have a glass of wine with dinner, have a cocktail when I go out etc. I never felt like I had to be cool and go drink tons, because to me, drinking was boring... My PARENTS did it for heavens sake!

16 to vote if you can pass a test showing you are knowledgeable about current events and the various candidates. This way the kids that are actually interested in politics and have something to say will work at being able to vote, where as the kids who just agree with whatever their parents think and don't really care less, wouldn't bother.

18 to vote freely.

18 to have sex and to marry. I don't understand why kids in Canada can have sex at 14, and in some places in the states at 16, but they can't get married until 18. Why are they mature enough to have sex, protect themselves, have children if it comes to that, or to even make the decision about abortion/adoption/keeping a child, when they aren't "mature" enough to be married?

18 to move out, or when they graduate high school, (whichever comes first). 18 seems like a decent age for most people to move out and start depending on themselves for the most part... still some 16 year olds finish high school early, can get jobs or go to college, and I say, go for it!
i believe that at any age you should have the right as i think that if you can make your own decisions then youve became an adult
