Buying Cristmas presents on ebay?

I was planning on buying my daughter a new TV game called Digi Makeover for Christmas because I think it would be something her and friends would really enjoy especially during sleepovers. Every store was sold out so I went on ebay and I was disgusted to see that MANY people were selling the game for 2x as much as it was going for in stores. That means that people that had no intention of using the game made it sold out everywhere just to sell it to those of us who really wanted to use it. That kinda irritates me... but it got me thinking. How many parents would pay double for a something their child wanted for Christmas or how many would wait for another month for it to be back in stores? I plan on waiting since her birthday is in February but even it wasnt I refuse to pay $120 for a $50 game. How about you?

Answer:
I generally wouldn't buy it, in the end most kids love what they get for Christmas. If they don't, and have a tantrum about not receiving what they wanted, they are spoilt, and it is probably a good thing that they didn't get what they wanted.

On a side note, I am astounded that people have done that on EBay, typically it is a pretty good place to get things a bit cheaper.
