Invitations for birthday and the place?
Answer:
My daughter's 9th birthday is coming up in February. As far as inviting all the kids from her class - my answer is no because I don't see the point in that, as she is not what you'd call "friends" with each and every person in her class (not that she is enimies with anyone in her class but she's not close to them all). I don't think she'd feel comfortable with that idea either. I've told her she can choose who she wants to come, as long as it fits in the limited 8 guests for where we're going to have it.
We're going to have her party at a roller skating place this year. They all get pizza, soda, cake, treat bags and she gets her name announced and gets to request a song to play. Oh, and rollerskating/blading of course!
Anywho...that's what we're doing this year. Oh, and I completely agree with "where did the time go?" ! Think about it. our kids will be half-way to adulthood on their next b-days...scary, huh?
I hope your daughter has a blast on her birthday and at her party! Take care. :-)
That is a hard question.Being as she wants to have it there why not just let her invite the ones she likes the best as that would be a lot of kids to watch at one time and how would they get there?Besides the cost of it all. Some mothers take cupcakes and icecream to class for all the kids. Its good its in march so you have time to think about it.Good luck, sighed Free Little Lillie
well my daughter is turning 8 years old on sat,1/20/07 and i asked the teacher if it was OK for me to bring in cupcakes for the class that way it like I'm not leaving anyone child out of the party.now as far as where to through the party my daughter chose a sleep over for her birthday,so we are having a makeover sleepover party.
If you are planning on invite classmates you need to dicuss this with her teacher, some schools have policies where if you invite one, you have to invite the whole class.
Last year at my daughters 6th b-day, I invited the whole class (48 kids), and we had the party at the party right beside the school. Only 20 kids showed up from school. I am planning on doing the same thing this year, since I am expecting to give birth to my 3rd child at the beginning of May and my daughters B-Day is on
May 31.
In Kindergarten and 1st grade I did but I now let my 8 year old make the choices herself with guidance. If you let your child do that then don't her pass out invitations at school..mail them.
No, I only invited the children my daughter was friends with, that meant NOT sending invitations to school which is tacky at best. My daughter's parties were always at Mc'Donalds, it was the one time a year I'd let her eat that crap...
