Is within anything I should verbs roughly when babysitting a 5 and 6 year frail?Craft or activity concept? Is it ok to...

I am babysitting a 5 and 6 year old through the summer. I entail to know if there is anything I should verbs about or if near are any questions I should ask the parents previously I take them lower than my wing. I need planning of things to occupy them like crafts or happenings. Are they too old to hold nap or silence time? I know that 5 year olds around here at our schools enjoy to take nap so.... and is it ok if we have clean-up time up to that time they leave? I be thinking about have a schedule for us to follow. Not exactly, but..... a moment ago a guide, would that be ok? I can't just lug them outside do to a certain situation so I stipulation some activities to do inside near them . I will be having them at my house, and I don't hold many toys for them to play w/ so, would it be ok if I asked the mom if they could bring a few toys from their house? I don't want to be rude, but, I don't want the children to be bored. I also want some"contained by the kitchen" ideas that they can SAFELY sustain me with! Thanks!

Answers:    Ask the parents if they hold any allergies and what they are and arnt alowd to do. Tell the mom to pack some toys for them to play with. i hold a 5 y/o little brother and i would guess letting them color, paint, play tag detain and that sortof thing outside. Yes after playing for a while you could any put them down for a nap or own them quitly watch something on tv. Clean up time is a dutiful idea but try to bring in it fun by singing or somthing like that. Making cookies would be a well brought-up in the kitchen activites. They could also brand lemonade or ice cream sundaes.

you need to ask the parents for a record of likes dislikes, especially roughly speaking food and drinks...allergies, emergency numbers
you can also to ask them about forty winks times, see if/when they usually have them..
i'm sure it would be fine to ask them to bring along some toys, have pens/crayons/paints/paper will be great, kids love to make stuff...

I have a niece explicitly 5 now who I enjoy watched once per week since she be a baby (i work every other weekend and enjoy 1 day stale each week) She other brings things from home..a baby doll or barbie...but I hold always have a box of things to interest my nieces and nephews...it is not necessarily expensive things...but they are returned to the box before they will...colouring books...crayons, some dolls..and trucks..girls like those too...craft stuff is other a hit...because I am spending that time with her....you can collect stuff around the house and accepted wisdom from internet for that. She loves online fisherprice toddler games..and i have downloaded some movies...close to winnie the pooh..you can rent movies from the library..they have a great kids inspection...We love being surrounded by the kitchen...we make cupcakes....I find the generic mix from the bulk food store..then we make a payment whatever we want to them...frozen fruit...bananas...when I do the dishes..she sits on the floor next to a big pot and washes her tea things...love to own tea parties. contained by the afternoon we watch a movie as a loving of quiet winddown time and usually enjoy a snack..popcorn, fruit etc. so my schedule is within the morning she watches 20 min of tv to decide what she would similar to to do...then we play beside toys..have a tea delegation...do a craft or bake something...later we have lunch...and usually a waddle to the park or somekind of activity...they enjoy alot of energy...if its you that cant bearing (i had an injury surrounded by a wheelchair for a year) we still would go outside and she would stay on our side of the street...step the dog or ride a certain distance and come support....15 times lol..or if someone cant to into the sun...go for a step around an indoor mall and play a team game where they enjoy to spot 5 objects or colours...you have to do something except stay surrounded by the house all morning....then we enjoy a winddown time..my niece is too old for nap (she never had them anyway) so we survey a movie in the afternoon, verbs up the place and clean them up formerly mom comes.
as far as naps you might want to ask the parents something like that. talk to at hand parents find out what things they like what they dont resembling. Some stuff to do in the house is possibly coloring, watching a movie, play douh is fun just save it on the table. You might go to a dollar store if in attendance is one around you and get a few small toys and things for them to do. Maybe get to the libary read some books with them. Hope that help
