My 10yo girl is acting like a teenager. She is developing quickly into a woman.?

Her mood swings are hard to keep up with & i'm wondering if she could be hormonal already. Physically she is developing hair & breasts already. Are other people seeing this in their 10 year olds?

Answer:
Unfortunately the "age" and the "stage" don't always line up. My daughter was about 14.5 before she even began to have any physical changes and then menses came about 1 year later.

If she has pubic hair and even minor breast development that's because of hormones. So she's hormonal if you will, sure is.

People are seeing this in even 8-9 year olds, these days. Homones added to meat are considered by some to be part of the reason. I think that is true.

My kids grew up on a farm and ate only non-treated meat, neither of them developed that early. Genetics does play a role too.

Hope this helps!
Duh. She is at the right age to get her period.
yeah i think its very normal.I got my first period at 11.so did my sister and my neice. If you haven't discussed puberty with her do it soon! But be prepared you wanna sound like you know what ur talking about.not a bambling mess like some parents...Maybe ask her what she knows first.
I blame it all on growth hormons in the beef and other meats. I sure as wasn't ready for puberty at the age of 10.
As much as you don't want to let her go, she has to. She is maturing very quickly now, and all parents can do now is just stare and cry. What you can do is explain to her that she should enjoy her childhood while she can.
My daughter and most of her friends were starting at 10. Some of her friends already were in B cups and having their periods at 10! I blame the hormones in food.
I dont have a ten yr old yet, but my mother has a friend whos daughter went through menopause at the age of 12. It was frightening for her to see her child have periods at the age of 11 and then twelve months later realise that she was all finished. It's rare but children can have periods at a young age and it can affect them quite seriously. We all hit puberty at different stages, but if you're that concerned take your daughter to the doctors. May just be that her hormones are out of whack.
The problem is in the fact that the dairy cattle & feeder beef that are used for conventional milk & beef are inoculated with a growth hormone & antibiotics. We feed our child only organic dairy & meat because of this very reason. Organic dairy cattle have NOT been given that growth hormone & unnecessary antibiotics. The dept of agriculture is finally seeing the connection as well.
my daughter is doing the same thing. ask a docter. it might just what her growing pattern is
no
I have a ten year old and yes her hormones are changing.
Her doctor should of had this conversation with you-he had it with us when my daughter was 9. Now is the time...her body is changing.Breats, body hair-periods soon.
You should really talk to her about it or get a book to help her understand.
Good luck-I knwo how rough the mood swings are!
I developed early and had my period at 10. My mother hadn't mentioned it to me at all and when my period came, it was a complete shock! I didn't even know what it was. My mother still didn't explain much to me, but showed me how to use a pad. I figured that this "life changing moment" only came once. I was wrong, of course. That being said, it is best to talk to your child now about the changes that will be occurring. There are even books that will help you do that, books that both she and you can read together. I wouldn't discuss everything all at once, but bring it up gradually and let her ask questions if necessary. Your daughter is completely normal, and building a good relationship with her now will lead to less stress down the road. Good luck!
That is young, yes, but I remember I started to "bud" in 4th grade (I was either 9 or 10). I didn't start wearing a bra until 5th or 6th grade. I was early. Don't tell her everything yet, that is too much info and can be overwhelming. Just take it a step at a time. Good luck.

I have twin 10 year old boys and they grow so fast, don't they?
My 10 yr old has been having her period for the past year. Oh yeah, shes hormonal. Just wait, it gets worse before it gets better with the mood swings. Mentally they are not mature enough to really understand whats going on with them. My daughter knew about that stuff since she was 6 and nothing prepared her for it.
My daughter is 9 and having mood swings. No hair or breasts yet, although she can't wait for that. LOL. I think it is normal now a days with all the hormones in meat.
Gee I guess you know nothing about puberty?
